Metal Products & Prototyping Services

How We Take Your Idea From Concept to a Market-Ready Prototype

Our prototyping service gives inventors and entrepreneurs across Southern Utah the opportunity to bring their ideas from concept to reality. Based in Hurricane and serving the entire St. George and Washington County area, we specialize in taking a simple idea and turning it into a tangible product. The process begins with a collaborative design stage, where our team creates a detailed 3D CAD model that allows you to visualize and refine every detail of your invention before moving forward.

Once the design is approved, we manufacture a fully functional prototype using precision metal fabrication, welding, and machining techniques to ensure accuracy and strength. To complete the process, we apply a professional powder-coated finish, giving your prototype the durability and polished look of a market-ready product.

From consumer products to industrial tools and equipment, our Southern Utah prototyping and custom fabrication services are designed to help inventors, startups, and businesses bring new ideas to life with confidence.

Phase 1

Every project begins with a one-on-one consultation where we take the time to fully understand your invention, goals, and vision. If confidentiality is a concern, we are happy to put a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place to protect your intellectual property from the very start. Once expectations are clear, we collect a deposit to initiate the project and begin mapping out the details. This includes identifying the right materials, establishing design requirements, and creating a realistic production timeline.

Phase 2

Our design team creates a precise 3D CAD rendering of your invention. This digital model allows you to clearly visualize the product from every angle and ensure that the design meets your expectations before any materials are cut or fabricated. During this stage, you’ll have the opportunity to review the rendering, request adjustments, and fine-tune features to achieve the perfect design. Once you give final approval, our team moves seamlessly into the fabrication stage.

Phase 3

This phase is where you can see your product in action, assess its performance, and identify any adjustments. Our team is available to make revisions and refinements until the prototype meets your exact standards. Once finalized, we apply a professional powder-coated finish, giving the product both durability and a polished, production-ready look.  At this stage, we also work with you to develop a long-term manufacturing plan, outlining options for scaling production and sourcing materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

The first thing would be to sit down together in a consultation to talk about your concept and design ideas. This would allow us to be able to see if we can actually make your prototype, and we would move forward from there.
We are happy to sign a Nondisclosure Agreement to give you peace of mind.
After we get a working prototype, you need to do market research to see if your product is viable or not. The prototype is the key to being able to do your market research. This is a tricky process because you can’t have one without the other. Investing in the prototype will enable you to do the necessary market research.
We work mainly with steel and aluminum. We are a complete metal fabrication shop that includes powder coat finishing.
You can reach out to our Project Manager at any point of the prototyping process, but we will also be in touch along the way.
Revisions are all part of the prototyping process. In building the product, it brings up issues and kinks to be worked out that are basically unknown until we get into the build. The quoted cost includes two revisions. Additional revisions will be charged a nominal fee and will be established
The cost of a prototype will vary depending on your product. Our minimum charge is $1000 + the cost of the material. This will give you one working prototype with up to two revisions and a complete CAD drawing. Larger projects can cost around $5,000.
